Manchester United’s pursuit of one of the best players in the world hits massive hitch

RamosBBC Sport have Manchester United fans looking up with some serious anger on their faces here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they see that Sergio Ramos has penned a new five-year deal with Real Madrid.
Now as one of our punters notes over a couple of beers and burgers by the bar, we think that the club could well make a move for John Stones, and while that would certainly make up for losing Sergio Ramos, it is still the second time this summer they have been left red faced by a player who clearly does not want to join, but uses the club as leverage.
Ramos claimed he had no intention of leaving Spain, and sees the rest of his career with the club, and as one of our punters quips, that is something that United fans will not enjoy hearing, but they have no choice but to move on.
Our resident Red Devils fans here in the Tavern are quite gutted about this news, with all of them admitting they felt that Ramos would actually sign for the club during the window!
Manchester United fans, Are you growing fed up with seeing the club linked with players who have no intention of signing? Let us know your thoughts below!
