Manchester United supporters in the Football Transfer Tavern have been left disappointed by the latest speculation arriving in the bar.
John Edwards from Mail Online is on hand to end any hopes the Red Devils had of signing Arturo Vidal, after the Chilean pledged his future to Juventus,
Vidal and team-mate Pogba were thought to be high on David Moyes’ summer wish list as he looks to significantly strengthen his seventh place side.
The former Everton boss had even been in Italy to watch Juve in recent weeks as he made the box-to-box midfielder one of his top targets.
However Edwards suggests that the 26-year-old has rejected any advances from Old Trafford to now keep him with the Turin-based club until 2018. Vidal had earlier signed an extension until 2017 but his new deal sees another pay rise with the classy midfield man now thought to be earning around £200,000-a-week.
He was originally signed from Bayer Leverkusen in 2011, and is likely to be one of the stars of the upcoming World Cup which is likely to make his services even more desirable.
