Liverpool fans have mixed reactions in the Football Transfer Tavern after reading in the Mirror that Roberto Mancini has said that Mario Balotelli is happy in England and won’t be joining him at Inter Milan.
Mancini recently became the manager of the Italian giants for the second time and this sparked rumours that he would be looking to resign Balotelli after coaching him previously at Inter and Manchester City.
But on arrival Mancini was quick to squash the rumours linking him Liverpool’s transfer flop.
“Mario is happy at Liverpool, he has a great chance and was fortunate enough to go back to one of England’s biggest clubs,” he explained.
“He has to make the most of this opportunity.”
The 24-year-old still has not scored in the Premier League despite having started nine of the Reds 11 games.
But Balotelli picked up an injury earlier in this week in training, which has kept him out of Italy’s Euro 2016 Qualifier against Croatia.
But punters think this may work out well for the out of form striker, because time off the field would allow to regain confidence and start on a fresh slate when he returns from injury.
