The volume is rising here in the Football Transfer Tavern after the latest claim from the Metro, who reckon that Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic will be on the move this summer.
The player has claimed that he will consider leaving Bayern Munich, and his words have placed not one, but three Premier League clubs on red alert.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are all keen on the forward and their fans in the tavern are desperate to hear what the forward has been saying.
Mandzukic said: ‘I met with [Bayern chairman] Karl Heinz Rummenigge before the cup final and told him I wanted to leave the club.
‘I’ve had a fantastic time at Bayern. It’s a great club and I never thought I’d want to leave, and especially not at this point in time.
‘But, let’s be honest, I cannot play to my strengths under Guardiola’s style – no matter how hard I try.’
As our regulars note what might be a massive loss for Bayern will certainly be a gain for whoever nets him in the Premier League, and we think that Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea will be leading the chase for him.
