West Ham United will be desperate to cause an upset against Liverpool on Monday, having failed to win any of their last three games in all competitions.
The Hammers’ European hopes are slowly vanishing as they’ve struggled to ensure consistency in recent times, with the teams above them picking up points regularly. However, the London club received a huge boost recently, as according to reputable source Claret & Hughes, Manuel Lanzini will return to full training next week.
It’s believed that the Argentine will rejoin the Hammers squad next week after training alone for the past three months.
Indeed, the attacking midfielder was at one time believed to have been ruled out until next season but the latest developments suggest that he will be involved in ‘contact’ training for the first time this season next week.
“He has done so well and shown himself the ultimate dedicated professional. He has got on with it alone for so long and is close. The expectation is he will be rejoining squad training next week.
“All things being equal we will see him back in March which will be a tremendous boost for everybody involved in the club.”
Manuel Lanzini, who is valued at £18 million (by Transfermarkt), has been one of the standout performers for the Hammers over the past couple of years, but he hasn’t been able to feature this season due to injury.
It comes as a huge boost that the Hammers will see him back in contact training by next week as he was at one time believed to be out for the season, so he will have the opportunity to make a huge impact if everything goes to plan.
