West Ham United returned to winning ways on Saturday when they beat Newcastle United at St. James’ Park.
The Hammers will now want to take the momentum they gained from that performance into their match against Cardiff City on Tuesday night.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side host the Welsh outfit at the London Stadium, however, he has revealed he could be without one man for the fixture.
Pellegrini refused to rule the left-back out of the game, however, eluded to the fact that he will be assessed and will make a last-minute decision on him.
“About the injuries, we have the same players. Cresswell has a hamstring injury. We shall see him tomorrow and make the last decision,” he said.
Cresswell had been excellent against Newcastle on Saturday before the injury had ruined his day and his absence could be a blow for West Ham.
The defender, who has had a rough time under Pellegrini, came back into the side after Arthur Masuaku continues to put in some suspect performances that the Chilean has not been convinced with.
Cresswell appears to have started to find some form, so West Ham will be hoping that he will be available for Tuesday’s game, but if he is not, then they will have their fingers crossed that he will not miss too much action.
