Mark Noble facing late test ahead of Arsenal trip

West Ham United will be looking to turn things around quickly following a disappointing start to their Premier League campaign.

The Hammers have suffered consecutive defeats to Liverpool and AFC Bournemouth already and Manuel Pellegrini’s side will now make the short trip to Arsenal on Saturday looking to rectify things.

However, according to the club’s official website, he could be without one of the London Stadium’s mainstays for the trip to the Emirates Stadium.

Mark Noble is thought to be in a race against the clock to prove his fitness ahead of the clash with the Gunners, as he looks to overcome a problem with his back.

The West Ham skipper is the only fresh injury doubt for the Irons though, with the likes of Andy Carroll, Winston Reid and Manuel Lanzini all still out with long-term issues.

Issa Diop could make his debut for the Hammers, whilst Lucas Perez will be hoping for the opportunity to impress against the club he left on the transfer deadline-day.

The Verdict:

West Ham will be looking to get their first points on the board in the Premier League, however, so will Arsenal.

Noble could be a miss for the Irons in their clash at the Emirates Stadium should he not be passed fit as his experience in a new-look side will prove to be valuable over the course of the season.

However, some of the new arrivals at the London Stadium outfit will be looking to make an impression and a strong performance against Arsenal could go along way.
