Following a fairly poor season, it was a huge summer of change at West Ham as the club brought in a host of new players and also former Manchester City manager, Manuel Pellegrini.

The club were also handed tough games against Arsenal and Liverpool to kick off their Premier League campaign and their fixture list doesn't get any easier as they face Spurs, Chelsea and Manchester United within their next six games.

Despite their tough start to the season, there have been a few shining lights within that, namely Felipe Anderson and Marko Arnautovic. The latter especially has been superb and has continued to blossom as the main striker.

Unfortunately for the club, the forward will need to be assessed ahead of this weekend's derby.

The Breakdown

If Arnautovic isn't fit enough to play this weekend, it will be a crushing blow for a team that goes up against a Chelsea that has been in superb form so far this year. He and Felipe Anderson have already struck up a great relationship and could've posed some threat to Chelsea.

According to the report, Javier Hernandez is also struggling with an illness which would leave West Ham with only Lucas Perez as the only out and out striker. While the Spaniard is a good player, losing a striker of Arnautovic's potential is a massive blow.

So far this season this season, the forward has scored three goals in five games to go along with one assist and it's going to be hard to replate his threat this weekend.
