West Ham United are set to stage a mass exodus in the summer with a number of their big-earners set to be sold.
According to a report by The Sun, Marko Arnautovic, Lucas Perez, Javier Hernandez and Pedro Obiang are the four names that could leave the London Stadium in the next transfer window.
It is claimed that Manuel Pellegrini will be given a huge warchest to make additions to his squad, however, the club are keen to offload some of their players who earn £100,000-a-week or more.
Arnautovic is one of those and despite having signed a new deal just last month, it does not appear as though that will stop the Hammers from offloading the £31.5million-rated ace, per Transfermarkt, following the debacle surrounding his future in January.
Perez only joined the club in the summer, however, he appears to be surplus to requirements at the London Stadium, whilst Hernandez has been touted with a switch away from the Premier League outfit for a while.
Obiang is said to be given the opportunity to leave in the summer as well as he remains on the fringes of Pellegrini’s plans.
Pellegrini is likely going to want to improve his squad in the summer and offloading some of their biggest earners was always going to be something that needed to happen.
There will not many who will be surprised with the likes of Perez, Hernandez and Obiang being allowed to depart, although allowing Arnautovic to go could be a questionable decision.
Despite the interest from China in January, the Austria international signed a new deal with the club shortly after and if he were to leave, as well as Perez, Hernandez and Andy Carroll (whose contract expires), the Hammers could be without a recognised striker.
