Marseille targeting swoop for experienced Arsenal man

OspinaArsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been alerted to reports that one of their most experienced players is being eyed as a potential January signing by one of Europe’s finest clubs.

French outlet Le10Sport have declared that Marseille are looking to give David Ospina an escape from his Emirates nightmare, with the Colombian lacking first-team football opportunities after the summer acquisition of Petr Cech.

Formerly of Ligue 1 outfit Nice, Ospina could be tempted to a move across the English channel as he’s known to be frustrated with his current situation in North London.

Ospina has started both Champions League games for Arsenal this season, which resulted in embarrassing defeats, and the Colombian is not expected to retain his spot for tomorrow’s crucial clash with Bayern Munich- although that’s down to injury.

Nevertheless, a horrific error from the 27-year-old in Arsenal’s home defeat to Olympiacos a few weeks back has led to vast criticism from the media and the club’s supporters- with our Gooners at the bar not wanting to see Ospina return in any crucial fixture.

Arsenal fans, should Ospina be sold in January? Let us know in the comments below!
