Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown has urged Arsene Wengerto offer Gunners legend Thierry Henry a loan deal at the Emirates.
Keown believes that too much emphasis is on star striker Robin van Persie to provide the goals and signing Henry, who is currently with MLS side New York Red Bulls, on a short-term measure could help Arsenal:
‘Perhaps we [Arsenal] need a centre forward.
‘Henry is now training with the team and it’d be nice if he came in on a loan period, but that would only be a short term solution.’
Van Persie’s fantastic form for Arsenal in 2011 has seen him net 31 goals in 29 Premier League games.
