Heung-min Son must be very tired at the moment. After a long season with Tottenham, he went to the World Cup, then finished his summer winning gold at the Asian Games with South Korea.
He will now be teaming up with a Tottenham team that may also be fairly tired as well at this point in the season. With nine of their regular players featuring in the World Cup semi-finals, manager Mauricio Pochettino has a job on his hands keeping his side fresh at the moment.
That of course means that he will need as many players as possible at his disposal, but he may want to give attacker Son a small break in order to reenergise. We asked you whether he should be given a break, and this is what you said:
The results show that a large proportion of voters believe Son should be rested. This will probably pay off as the season progresses, as Tottenham are a club that plan on going into the latter stages of four competitions this season, and will therefore need players to last the course.
It may seem like a paradox, but it may pay off for The Lilywhites to forgo playing one of their star players for the sake of their season. Whether Pochettino agrees is a different matter.
