‘Massive player’ – These Tottenham fans are delighted to have this key figure back

Tottenham got back to winning ways yesterday away at Brighton after losing three straight games for the first time since Mauricio Pochettino has been in charge at the club. Losses to Watford and Liverpool in the Premier League followed by a Champions League defeat to Inter Milan left the fans in disarray, but a win at Brighton and the return of Dele Alli have improved the mood.

Dele didn’t start at The Amex, with Christian Eriksen, Heung-Min Son and Lucas Moura chosen to fill the three attacking roles behind Harry Kane. However, he did make an appearance off the bench when he replaced Lucas Moura after 78 minutes. The Lilywhites were delighted to see their man back in action and will be keen for him to start on Wednesday at his home away from home, Stadium MK.

After Tottenham’s loss to Inter Milan in the week a lot of fans were starting to have a moan and question where everything was going so wrong. However, it’s never easy to travel to The San Siro without five senior players. Toby Alderweireld, Kieran Trippier, Moussa Sissoko, Hugo Lloris and Dele all failed to travel, with the latter three injured and the former two rested, and when they had a more complete squad against Brighton it started to click again. It now looks like the club could ready to put a run together, starting with Watford on Wednesday in the Carabao Cup.
