Harry Kane could be in line for a return to the Tottenham Hotspur first-team a lot sooner than was expected.
Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that his star striker is on the verge of returning to action with a six-word response to a question he was asked about his main man.
“Harry is nearly ready to play,” he told The Sun, as the England international resumed outdoor training.
The 25-year-old, who had picked up the injury against Manchester United, was expected to be ruled out until the middle of March but is way ahead of schedule in his recovery.
Kane is not available for their home encounter with Leicester City this weekend, however, he could be in contention to feature against Burnley towards the end of the month.
Should he be able to come through that game, he will then be available for crucial games against Chelsea and Arsenal shortly after.
The six-word update that Pochettino has provided regarding Kane will delight fans and be one that everyone at Tottenham will love.
There is no doubt how invaluable the striker is to the club, who leads their goalscoring charts once again this season with 10.
With crucial games against Chelsea and Arsenal coming up, Spurs will be pleased to potentially have their main talisman available as they continue their efforts in the Premier League title race.
