Marko Arnuatovic’s future at West Ham United has been thrown further into doubt in recent days.
The Austria international was understood to have been the subject of a bid from an unnamed Chinese outfit which was rejected.
He appeared to wave to the London Stadium crowd when he was substituted in the second half of their win against Arsenal on Saturday further fuelling talk about a possible depart.
And, it appears one of his team-mates has not made the situation any better for the West Ham fans on Sunday.
Michail Antonio was a guest on Sky Sports’ Goals on Sunday programme on Sunday and revealed he believed Arnautovic wanted to go.
“Everyone knows Marko wants to go,” he said, as quoted by The Sun.
“He’s massive for the club, the fans love him.
“Players come and go, we are used to it. Obviously I’d rather he stayed, he’s a talisman for the club.”
Although Antonio would not necessarily be able to speak for Arnautovic, however, he would potentially be in a position to know a little more than anyone else.
His comments will worry fans that the 29-year-old could actually depart from West Ham in January and will hope the club have reinforcements planned should a move happen.
The Austria international is the club’s joint-leading scorer this season and his departure would certainly be difficult for the Hammers to cover.
