The Stoke City fans who are gathered around the bar in The Transfer Tavern are discussing reports that one of their midfield players is set to exit the club.
The Irish Mirror is reporting that Marco Van Ginkel could be set to depart the Brittania Stadium and head back to his native Holland with PSV Eindhoven.
Stoke boss Mark Hughes has decided to offload the Dutchman as he has failed to impress during his time with the club. With the prospective signing of Porto’s Giannelli Imbula, chances for Van Ginkel would also become extremely limited at the club.
The loan signing from Chelsea is set for the switch due to a lack of game time which has seen him make just eight appearances for The Potters this season, and with Chelsea wanting him to get more first team action the move to PSV would become ideal.
Those Stoke fans in The Tavern are in full agreement with the decision to let Van Ginkel go and would like to thank him for his efforts during his time with the club.
