Manchester City fans will feel extremely confident that their side can get the job done from here on in until the end of the season, with three pieces of silverware still up for grabs.
City supporters surely can’t believe their eyes as Pep Guardiola’s side have arguably gone up another level since the last campaign, as the Spaniard continues to get the best out of his current batch of players.
Of course, the likes of Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling have been the obvious shining lights this season and will no doubt continue to play a big part in their push for silverware.
But, this season has been particularly special for Sterling and it looks as if everyone is starting to realise just how talented he really is, as Daily Mail journalist Mike Keegan has named him as his pick for player of the year.
‘What. A. Player. The talent has never been in question but now Sterling has the composure to match there is no stopping him. Deserves to be talked about among the world’s elite. With no exaggeration, could become one of England’s all-time greats.’
It’s safe to say that the Englishman has firmly established himself as one of the best attackers in world football in the current campaign, having produced 19 goals and 16 assists in all competitions up until this point.
Almost every defender has failed in their attempts to stop the 24-year-old since his emphatic transformation in the current campaign. And, he carried his fine form with him onto the international stage recently as he grabbed a hat-trick against the Czech Republic and bagged England’s fifth goal against Montenegro.
The sky really is the limit for the Manchester City man who continues to defy expectations at the Etihad.
