Mislintat needs to sign Rodriguez and Tah

Arsenal haven’t been at their best up until this point in the current Premier League campaign, despite beating Chelsea last weekend at the Emirates.

The Gunners will be desperate to make the most of the remaining days left in the January transfer window, with an attacking midfielder and a central defender required at this moment in time.

Although, the North London club will wave goodbye to their current head of recruitment Sven Mislintat on the 8th of February. Indeed, the German has secured the services of Lucas Torreira, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Unai Emery during his time at the Emirates, so supporters will be hoping for a couple more big signings before he leaves.

With that in mind, Mislintat will forever be remembered as a hero if he secures these TWO deals…

JAMES RODRIGUEZ

Arsenal are in desperate need of an attacking midfielder as Mesut Ozil has been extremely disappointing at the Emirates in the current campaign. The German’s future has been surrounded with doubt right the way through the January transfer window, and it doesn’t look as if he will play much of a part if he ends up staying.

James Rodriguez is arguably one of the best attacking midfielders in world football, having displayed his world-class qualities on the international stage, in Europe and domestically.

He has the ability to unlock any defence and is on a similar level to Ozil in terms of creativity levels, but his work rate and ability to find the back of the net is what separates him from the German.

JONATHAN TAH

Jonathan Tah currently plays his football at German side Bayer Leverkusen. The German international is a big, physical centre-back that has shown in his fast rise to the top of German football that he will soon become a world-class defender, so he would be perfect for Arsenal having witnessed some of their defensive displays this season.

Indeed, the likes of Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Laurent Koscielny are the only two central defenders that have really been able to ensure defensive solidity in recent times, so bringing in a player like Tah would provide them with a potential future star and a defensive rock who lets very little past him.
