Arsenal certainly picked up the pace prior to the international break as they’re currently on a two-game winning streak.
The Gunners will have their sights set firmly on securing a top four spot in the current campaign after missing out in Arsene Wenger’s farewell season.
However, Arsenal will travel to St James’ Park to face Newcastle United in their next Premier League encounter. The Magpies are still searching for their first win in the current campaign, so they’ll be desperate to get their season off and running against Unai Emery’s side.
Nevertheless, Emery has some decisions to make in terms of team selection, with a couple of players possibly forcing their way into the side.
With that in mind, these TWO Arsenal men must start today…
The Armenian international hasn’t been able to nail down a permanent place in the side this season, despite displaying moments of brilliance when he’s given the chance.
Indeed, the Gunners looked devastating in attack last time out against Cardiff City but they could definitely look at bringing Henrikh Mkhitaryan into the side.
Newcastle United have been vulnerable defensively, so the little magician could definitely control the flow.
Lucas Torreira made the move to the Emirates from Italian side Sampdoria during the summer transfer window.
However, the Uruguayan hasn’t been able to nail down a permanent place in the starting lineup as Emery has opted to go with the likes of Granit Xhaka and Matteo Guendouzi.
But, Xhaka wasn’t at his best against Cardiff City last time out as he continues to receive negative feedback for his performances, so perhaps Torreira should be given the nod in his place.
