Mo Salah’s Brighton strike is voted Liverpool’s August goal of the month

Liverpool’s official Twitter account tweeted a video this morning of the club’s top five goals of the month for August, with strikes from both the Premier League and pre-season being included, Mo Salah was the man to look out for as three of the top five were his goals. The winner was his winning goal against Brighton and the fans are simply in awe of the Egyptian.

The top five Liverpool goals of the month were shared between Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Alberto Moreno. Salah’s strikes against West Ham, Napoli and Brighton were in the top five as well as Sadio Mane’s counterattacking goal against Crystal Palace and Alberto Moreno’s rocket against Napoli. It looks like the Reds are going to impress in the same way they did last season and Salah looks like continuing his goalscoring form.

To have three goals in your club’s top five for the month is an incredible feat in itself, but then when you factor in the sheer volume of goals that Salah has bagged it’s hardly surprising that he gets a fair few goal of the month nominations. Last season saw the 26-year-old hit the numbers that only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo hit when he bagged an obscene 44 goals and 16 assists and this season he’ll be keen to follow it up with similar tallies.

The fans have loved Salah’s early season goals and will be keen to see him continue and smash his records from last season.
