It's been a stuttering start to the season for Southampton as Mark Hughes' men drew on the opening game and then followed that up with a loss to Everton.

The Saints face Leicester City this weekend in a game which on paper looks like Southampton might be in for another tough match.

Southampton haven't necessarily played incredibly poorly so far this season but there's still quite a bit of work for Mark Hughes to do on the training ground.

One of the club's biggest problems last season was their inability to score goals and in order to address that failing, Southampton brought in Danny Ings and FC Basel winger Mohamed Elyounoussi.

The Norway international joined the club for a £16.2 million fee and according to Mark Hughes could be fit to play this weekend.

The Breakdown

A star during his time in Switzerland, Elyounoussi has the potential to be regarded as one of the signings of the summer, as he scored 11 goals to go with 15 assists last season, the season before that he managed double digits in both categories once again.

The Norwegian forward did manage to come on for 34 minutes against Burnley but missed last weekend's match against Everton.

Dusan Tadic was a very important player for the Saints but such is Elyounoussi's talent, that the Saints may have replaced him with a much better player.

A strikeforce of Elyounoussi, Redmond, Ings and Austin could be one that could fire Southampton right up to the top 10 in the table.
