Arsenal fans will be crying out for additions in the summer to bolster their squad and it appears they could be about to land the perfect man to help them achieve those objectives.
A director of football has been missing at the Emirates Stadium, however, it appears Monchi could be about to join them in the imminent future.

The former Roma sporting director decided to call time on his role at the Serie A outfit and it appears the Premier League outfit are ready to pounce for the 50-year-old.
Adding Monchi to the backroom staff at Arsenal could be exactly what the club needs ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Spaniard has an excellent relationship with Unai Emery that stems from their time together at Sevilla, a club where the pair were extremely successful in terms of recruitment and on the pitch.
Monchi has proved over the years that he can work the transfer market well and can find some hidden gems that can turn out to be superstars in the latter stages of their respective careers, which has been helped by the large scouting network he has at his disposal.
Understandably, there will be some doubt if he can still replicate the success he had during his time with Sevilla following a rather mixed time at Roma, but if he has a couple of months to line up potential targets, there is no reason he cannot set Arsenal up for success in the future.
With a need to improve the defence a priority, Monchi will likely target that area first should he arrive in north London.
