After a few ropey weeks for Chelsea football club, with some unconvincing displays and results being coupled with off field problem, Chelsea fans enjoying a pint in the Transfer Tavern were hoping the international break would give their club a chance to start a fresh and get their season back on track.
However there is more bad news coming from the Guardian that explains that Fiorentina have lodged an official complaint to FIFA against Chelsea over the loan of winger Mohamed Salah to Roma.
Salah spent the second half of last season at the Viola, following Chelsea’s capture of fellow winger Juan Cuadrado. The Egyptian winger made an immediate impact for the club and scored an impressive nine goals in 16 appearances – a healthy return for a wide man, showcasing the talent that convinced Chelsea to buy him from Swiss side Basel in January 2014.
Fiorentina had believed that Salah would them join the club permanently this summer, or extend his loan deal into the New Year, as they believed to have been stated in the original loan contract. However, Salah rejected a move to Fiorentina and instead moved to fellow Serie A club Roma on loan for the 2015-2016 season.
Fiorentina have now lodged a official complaint with FIFA against Chelsea football club for breach of contract agreements. Something which will no doubt disturb the club’s focus further, and has Chelsea fans in here worrying about the state of the clubs affairs!
