The Slovakia goalkeeper impressed during his six-month stay during his loan spell with Sparta Prague and the Magpies decided to make him one of their’s on a permanent deal, much to the delight of the locals.
The punters in the bar will be looking for the club to look at other areas of the field now and Rafa Benitez will be keen to bring in a number of other additions to help improve on last season’s successes.
In fact, according to a report in the Newcastle Chronicle, the Spaniard is already busy working on another incoming transfer, despite speculation about his own future at the club. It is believed he is working hard behind the scenes, deciding not to take a family holiday and trying to bring in another five faces to help their cause at St. James’ Park.
The Newcastle fans in the Tavern will be pleased with the news that the club is already pushing on with their recruitment this summer and will be pleased that Benitez is already lining up another deal.
The future of the manager has been a cause for concern for a number of the locals, however, with the Spaniard’s keenness to get deals done shows that he cares about the future of the club and they will be looking forward to what the Magpies do on the pitch next season.
