The resident Lilywhites in the Transfer Tavern were delighted with their side’s victory over APOEL Nicosia earlier this week…
Tottenham have endured a barren run of form of late, but they collected a morale-boosting victory on Wednesday night to ensure they would finish unbeaten in the group stages of the Champions League. Unfortunately for Mauricio Pochettino, his side haven’t been able to replicate their form in Europe in their domestic performances. However, the Spurs manager will be hoping that his sides midweek victory will give them the confidence to kick-start their league campaign against Stoke this weekend.
There have been many explanations proposed to explain Tottenham’s decline in recent weeks, and their temporary stadium arrangements are never too far away from those explanations.
The Lilywhites’ struggles have come both home and away so far this season, but the Wembley hoodoo seems to be a scapegoat for those fans that can’t help but feel their form would be vastly improved at the old White Hart Lane.
However, Tottenham supporters can soon forget about Wembley and look forward to playing in a breath-taking new stadium next season.
The club’s official Twitter page provided a further update on the progress of the construction of the new stadium earlier today.

It looks great, stunning in fact. Only caution is first PL game will be august, 9 months away? Cant bear thought of more Wembley time, maybe first 4 away games of 18/19 season?
