Moreno out: 65% of Liverpool fans want Klopp to land this £25.2m-rated defender

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate to see a few big changes at the back over the coming months. The Reds have struggled defensively this season, and with January fast approaching, it makes sense for Jurgen Klopp to make a few moves to solve his problems.

It’s all looking quiet on that front at present, but the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been frantically writing down their Christmas transfer wishes, and one player that most are desperate for Father Kloppmass to bring to Merseyside is Tottenham ace Danny Rose.

Rose’s Tottenham future is looking increasingly uncertain at present, with Mauricio Pochettino refusing to persist with the Englishman at left-back, and so a move is not entirely out of the question. Rated at £25.2 million by Transfer Markt, Daniel Levy has been known to drive a hard bargain and would likely demand far above his market value, but he would be worth every penny.

It’s a move that most fans want to see, it seems, with 65% of recently polled Reds in support of such a move.

Alberto Moreno continues to struggle at the back for the Reds, frequently making mistakes and causing the Liverpool defence problems, and that cannot be allowed to stand. The stakes are going to be huge in the second-half of the season, particularly with the return of the Champions League, and so a simple mistake could end up being hugely costly. With so much riding on each game, Klopp needs reliable talent, and Rose would certainly add more reliability to an inconsistent back-line.

Given Andy Robertson’s inexperience, and Moreno’s mistakes in particular, it’s no surprise that Liverpool fans are keen to see this move happen.
