Everton have managed to string together a number of positive results in recent times, but they still lack something special against the big guns in the Premier League.
The Toffees failed to get the better of Manchester United recently in what was a winnable game for Marco Silva’s side, which has since had a negative effect on their push for a European spot.
Indeed, the Merseyside club could do with strengthening in a couple of areas during the January transfer window in order to help ensure consistency. So, Farhad Moshiri could be forced into splashing even more cash in January, with the perfect opportunity to push for a European spot this season.
With that in mind, if Moshiri seals these 2 January deals, fans will surely love him.
Tom Pearce has established himself as one of the hottest prospects in English football since enjoying his breakthrough at Leeds United last season. However, the youngster has failed to enjoy many minutes in the side this season, which could help Everton’s pursuit of the 20-year-old.
Indeed, with Leighton Baines getting on with age, the youngster would be the perfect long-term replacement.
Timo Werner has been absolutely prolific in seasons gone by for current club RB Leipzig and already has a number of goals and assists to his name in the current campaign.
The Toffees are in desperate need of striker that can ensure a constant flow of goals at the pinnacle of the attack after witnessing Cenk Tosun’s woes this season.
So, the German looks to be the perfect man for the job as he could really take Everton’s attack to the next level, with his pace and finishing ability putting him up there among the best.
