The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are expecting their side to capitalise on the absence of Harry Kane on Saturday. The Red Devils are set to take on Tottenham this weekend, and with the news that Kane is set to miss the clash serving as a massive boost for the Red Devils, the optimism in the pub is very high indeed. There’s even more good news for the club, though, courtesy of manager Jose Mourinho.
Speaking ahead of the game, Mourinho has revealed a double fitness boost for the Red Devils. As per Ben Dinnery on Twitter, Mourinho has revealed that Phil Jones is fit and available to play for the Red Devils, whilst Eric Bailly is also in with a shout of featuring as he continues his recovery from injury.
"Phil Jones was on the bench the other day [Carabao Cup] and is okay. Bailly is a possibility. Nobody else is back." #MUFC

The defence has proven to be a difficult area for Jose Mourinho to build this season, with both fitness and form issues causing him problems at the back. Fortunately, though, Jones and Bailly have arguably been the Red Devils’ most useful players in defence, and so their imminent return should make things much easier.
With Tottenham very impressive in the attack this season, this is a huge relief for the Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern.
Phil Jones has been the surprise package of the season, with the Englishman impressing everyone with his fine performances. Eric Bailly has found life slightly more tough this season, but we saw his quality last term, and so there’s no doubting that he will come good.
Even if they aren’t at 100%, they will surely do a job for the Red Devils in an area that desperately needs improvement.
