Mourinho has big transfer plans for his Man Utd side next summer – report

The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are eager for Jose Mourinho’s spending spree to continue. It has been a very productive few years in the transfer market for the Red Devils, and under Jose Mourinho their spending has increased significantly. With big names like Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku moving to Old Trafford, the Man Utd first team has undergone a revolution under the Portuguese manager.

Fortunately for the Man Utd faithful, then, that spending is showing no signs of slowing down. According to Manchester Evening News, Mourinho wants add more left-footed quality to his team, with a number of players reportedly being targeted. The quartet of Danny Rose, Antoine Griezmann, Gareth Bale and Mesut Ozil are all mentioned by name, with Jose Mourinho clearly keen to add more quality throughout his eleven.

All of those players would likely come in and make a significant impact, though Antoine Griezmann, in particular, is likely to be a man in-demand next summer.

Expectedly, they won’t be easy signings to seal, but with so much competition in the Premier League at the moment, the Red Devils need all of the quality that they can get.

Landlord’s Verdict

Danny Rose would be a key signing, given Man Utd’s lack of depth in his left-back role, whilst his proven Premier League experience will also be a big draw. The duo of Gareth Bale and Mesut Ozil, meanwhile, have divided the fans in the Transfer Tavern given their poor recent form, though both have looked good at points lately.

Antoine Griezmann is a player that has been touted as a dream signing in the Transfer Tavern, with many fans desperate for him to come to Old Trafford. Given how lethal he is in front of goal, that’s no surprise.

It’s going to be a big task for Mourinho, but at least he’s getting his planning in early.
