The Manchester United fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern have had a lot to talk about over the last week-or-so as Jose Mourinho’s plans begin to get into gear, with a number of big names linked with Old Trafford.
One name that not too many of the punters in the bar had considered is AC Milan goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma.
However, according to reports from Spanish outlet Diario Gol, the 18-year-old, who recently snubbed a new contract at the San Siro, is being offered to United by his agent Mino Raiola.
This all hangs, however, on what happens with current shot-stopper David de Gea, who is supposedly house hunting in Madrid amidst rumours of a move back to the Spanish capital to join Real Madrid.
Our landlord has noted that, should a move for Italy international Donnarumma come about, United would be well placed considering Raiola also represents current Red Devils Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba, as well as last season’s top scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
United fans, we want to hear from you! Do you think De Gea will make the move to Madrid? Would Donnarumma be a good replacement? Let us know in the comments below…
