For the Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern, they are finally beginning to believe in Mourinho’s methods…
After a poor start to the season, things are slowly beginning to turn around at Old Trafford.
Poor results against the likes of Chelsea and Fenerbahce appeared to flip a switch at Man Utd, and the Red Devils have been on fire since that point.
Undefeated in the Premier League since October, it would seem as though Mourinho has finally got his players listening to his methods – and it would appear as though the only way is up for the Manchester giants.
They are still way off the pace, however, and at this point – our landlord thinks that it would take a miracle to get Man Utd back into the title picture – and it would seem as though Mourinho is plotting a miracle during the January transfer window and beyond.
Not content with his spending spree over the summer, the Telegraph are reporting that Mourinho is plotting a £180 spending spree between January and next summer – as he looks to turn the Manchester giants back into a Premier League powerhouse.
Mourinho is reportedly plotting summer moves for Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann, Nelson Semedo and Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko – whilst a January move for Benfica defenders Victor Lindelof is looking increasingly likely.
All of the proposed deals have pleased the Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern, with a move for Antoine Griezmann generating particular excitement. One of La Liga’s standout players in recent years, Griezmann has already bagged 6 La Liga goals this season – and he is showing no signs of slowing down.
Our landlord thinks that if Man Utd can land just a couple of these players – they could well be Premier League favourites next season.
