The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern have heard very good things about the 17-year-old…
According to Manchester Evening News, Jose Mourinho has handed impressive 17-year-old midfielder Matthew Knox ANOTHER trial at the club, with the Portuguese boss seemingly keen to bring the youngster to the Manchester giants.
The impending trial will be Knox’s 3rd at Carrington, and whilst he will undoubtedly be disappointed that he has yet to make a move – the fact that Mourinho keeps bringing him back clearly means that the manager sees something in the midfielder.
Manchester Evening News note that the likes of Tottenham, Everton and Liverpool have also offered trials and even made bids for the youngster, but as of yet – all of those have proven unsuccessful.
Our landlord thinks that the trial could well be the last chance that Knox gets at Old Trafford, with Mourinho likely using the trial as one last chance to run the rule over the youngster.
Knox has slowly been embedding himself into the first team setup at current club Livingston, and he has been a pretty consistent part of the team this season. He has yet to bag a goal or an assist, but given that he is just 17-years-old – his side will undoubtedly be ready to be patient with him.
The trial follows a reported £150,000 move for Knox earlier in the season, though the Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that this trial will actually lead to a deal.
