Mourinho reveals major concern during Man Utd’s 3-0 win against Saint-Etienne

The Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern were pretty pleased with their side’s performance against Saint-Etienne on Thursday night…

A dominant display that was, in many ways, overshadowed by the Pogba vs Pogba battle saw the Red Devils come out on top in the Europa League – with a hat-trick from Zlatan Ibrahimovic enough to seal the points for the Premier League side.

Whilst the performance was far from perfect, it did serve to show that Man Utd are going all out to win the competition this season – whilst it also continued to assert Zlatan Ibrahimovic as one of Europe’s deadliest forwards.

All in all, it was a decent night for the Red Devils – but it would appear as though Jose Mourinho was not entirely happy with the way that his side conducted themselves.

According to the Guardian, Mourinho said of the first half: “I had a feeling immediately in the dressing room – too noisy, too funny, too relaxed”.

He continued: “My assistants had the feeling in the warm-up with some of the guys not really focused, not the right adrenaline in their bodies…When you don’t have concentration it’s hard to recover it…The second half was a different story, a different result.”

Whilst Mourinho appears pleased that his side managed to turn it around in the second-half, the Portuguese boss clearly isn’t happy about his side’s lack of dedication in the first-half of the game.

It must be noted that the Red Devils were far superior after the break, leaving the side with a far easier job to do in the second-leg as they look to progress in the Europa League.

The Red Devils will certainly be making a good go of the competition if Man Utd’s hattrick hero, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has his way about it – with the Swede keen to win the competition with his current side.
