The new season is not far away and Spurs fans in the Tavern are still wondering whether their club will bring in any new recruits.
The feeling is that the team who put the pressure on Chelsea, could really up the ante with a couple more additions.
Yet, to his own admission, Mauricio Pochettino revealed his side are having a hard time signing players this summer.
It appears the Argentine is keen on nurturing the talent he has from the youth system to strengthen the squad.
One area Tottenham fans want to see strengthened is the left-back position.
Danny Rose has been a success, but the England man’s reoccurring injuries are a worry.
Meanwhile, Ben Davies has failed to provide enough competition.
For many punters here in the Tavern, Luke Shaw is being wasted by Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.
The Englishman, who was brought in in 2014, was tipped as the ideal replacement for Patrice Evra, but since returning from his horrific leg-break, Shaw has been short of minutes.
The 22-year-old’s progress has stalled under the Portuguese manager, who has criticised Shaw’s fitness and temperament, but with Pochettino’s track record of prospering with English players, it could be a perfect match.
United and particularly Mourinho have no shame in cutting their losses and Spurs could capitalise.
Spurs fans, we want to hear from you! Would you take Shaw? Let us know in the comments…
