Chelsea fans are moving towards our landlord here in the Football Transfer Tavern as the Daily Mail seem to think that Jose Mourinho has been discussing his plans for the January transfer window.
The Blues boss seems to be pretty happy with his squad at the minute and given they are riding high at the top of the Premier League, we do not blame him!
According to Mourinho, he will be keeping the cheque book closed this winter with not even the likes of Marco Reus tempting him.
The self styled Special One noted: ‘For me that is the perfect situation,
‘I don’t want people to leave. I don’t want people to come in. We started our project this way, and I’d like to go until the end.
‘If other teams do it in January, good for them. No problem for me. It will not be something I will use, saying: ‘These guys spend £30million more’.’
Now this may mean that Chelsea miss out on the likes of Sami Khedira and Marco Reus, who could well decide their futures this January but we certainly think Mourinho is right to keep the balance if the squad just how it is given their season so far!
