Tottenham supporters have been in fine voice in the Transfer Tavern this week after seeing their side pick up a fourth Premier League win in five games by easing past out-of-form Everton 4-0 at Wembley on Saturday.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men went into their clash with the Toffees off the back of a 3-0 success over AFC Wimbledon in the third round of the FA Cup, this all after winning three of their preceding four league games to set them up well for 2018. And the North London outfit continued their impressive run of form on Saturday as a brace from Harry Kane as well as goals from Son Heung-min and Christian Eriksen secured a comprehensive victory for the hosts, who in turn moved to within three points of fourth place Chelsea in the Premier League table.
Subsequently, there have been many delighted Spurs fans in the Tavern in recent times, several of whom are likely to be intrigued by a recent report from Corriere della Sera (via talkSPORT), which suggests that their club are readying a bid for North Korea international Kwang-song Han.
The 19-year-old forward currently plays his trade at Italian outfit Perugia on loan from top-flight side Cagliari, and he has this season seriously impressed with seven goals and three assists in 17 Serie B appearances to help them to 14th place in the second tier.
And the North Korea sensation must be doing something right as reports suggest that both Juventus and indeed Tottenham have sent scouts to monitor his progress in recent times, with Spurs reportedly readying a move for the forward this month.
But whether Pochettino’s men are indeed able to get a deal done very much remains to be seen.
Landlord’s verdict: Perugia’s 19-year-old forward Kwang-song Han has been in sparkling form for the Serie B outfit this term, netting seven goals and laying on three assists in 17 league games on loan from top-flight club Cagliari.
And his fine efforts in front of goal have reportedly attracted the attention of Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham, who have sent scouts and are reportedly readying a move for the North Korea international this month.
And given the vast amounts of success Pochettino has had promoting young talent through at both Southampton and now Spurs, the 19-year-old sensation may view Tottenham as the ideal destination to continue his development.
