Nailed On Win For Arsenal Today?

Aston Villa host Arsenal today, hoping to bounce back from a poor run of results, which have left Paul Lambert’s side floundering in the bottom three. Villa will be without Darren Bent for this weekend’s clash, with Charles N’Zogbia, Chris Herd and Joe Bennett also expected to miss the game.

After two earth-shattering defeats for the Villans against the two Manchester clubs in the past fortnight, the Premier League strugglers would have hoped for an easier fixture to reinvigorate their beleaguered season. With just four points from their last six games it will be a tough ask for Villa to overcome the Gunners this weekend.

Having safely qualified from their Champion’s League group on Wednesday night Arsenal will be looking to pick up their league form after thumping rivals Tottenham in last weekend’s North London derby. Lukas Podolski will be looking to pick up his sketchy league form following a commanding performance against Montpellier in midweek. However the Gunners will be without Theo Walcott, Abou Diaby and Andre Santos who are ruled out with injury. It is unlikely that this match will go against the form book and Arsenal should pick up a comfortable three points here.
