West Ham United fans will love the direction their club is heading in as Manuel Pellegrini appears to have identified the winning formula at the London Stadium, with a European spot being the icing on the cake if consistency is ensured from here on in.
The Hammers managed to secure a player agreement recently, as according to West Ham United’s official website, Nathan Trott has signed a new deal at the club.
What’s the News?
Indeed, the goalkeeper’s new deal is set to run until 2022.
Trott has been a regular feature in the Premier League 2 this season, having made 10 appearances. He’s also regularly trained with the first-team in the current campaign, so a step up may not be too far away.
Of course, after witnessing Grady Diangana and Declan Rice’s rise in the current campaign, perhaps fans will be eager to see another youngster break onto the scene in the near future.
Trott may just be the next youngster to make the step up as he’s been hugely impressive in-between the sticks this season, and both Adrian and Lukasz Fabianski are getting on with age. And, with the 20-year-old already training with the first-team on a regular basis, he would be more than familiar with the surroundings.
Manuel Pellegrini has shown that he’s open to giving youth a chance and it’s fair to say that it has worked wonders for him in the current campaign.
West Ham United fans, do you think Trott could be the next youngster to break into the first-team? Join the discussion by commenting below.
