Liverpool won’t want to miss out on silverware in the current campaign after coming so close last time out, with Jurgen Klopp still desperate for an elusive trophy.
The Reds have already established themselves as title challengers this season but they’ll be desperate to avoid making a similar mistake to the one that cost them the title under Brendan Rodgers. Although, it looks as if they may lose one of their first team members, as according to Sun Sport, Leicester are targeting Nathaniel Clyne.
Nathaniel Clyne is a target for Leicester after coming back from his injury hell at Liverpool.
Sadly, the 27-year-old missed most of last season with a back problem and has lost his place to the impressive Trent Alexander-Arnold since.
Clyne has one full season left on his Anfield contract and may consider a move to help regain his England place.
Importantly, Liverpool would still make a profit on the £12.5 million they paid Southampton in 2015.
Nathaniel Clyne will struggle to get back into the first team at Liverpool after a long period out through injury, with Trent Alexander-Arnold making the position his own. Although, if the youngster suffers an injury he could work his way back into the fold.
Nevertheless, a loan move to Leicester would be very beneficial for the Englishman if he can manage to earn regular minutes.
