Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are debating whether their new boss is making the right decision, after reports stated he’s willing to offer a misfit a new chance.
The Daily Mail state that new Blues boss Antonio Conte is willing to offer Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado a fresh chance at Stamford Bridge, after what has been a difficult start to his career with the English side.
Cuadrado, who signed for Chelsea in January 2015 from Fiorentina, was seen as a big-money flop in the Premier League after he failed to impress in his first half-season at Stamford Bridge following a £26m switch, as he then joined Juventus last season.
The South American experienced better times in his return to Italian football and Juventus are keen to sign him on a permanent basis. However, Conte feels he could thrive in his favoured 3-5-2 formation in west London.
Chelsea do of course have Eden Hazard at the club but winger support is few and far between, with Pedro Rodriguez struggling since signing last summer, and our landlord thinks Cuadrado could have a lot to offer.
Chelsea fans, would Cuadrado be a good asset at the club next season? Let us know in the comments below!
