New Everton manager wants prolific Premier League striker to be first signing of regime

berahinooo000The Everton fans who are gathered at the bar in The Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing reports that the club are linked with a new striker.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that new Everton manager Ronald Koeman is eyeing a move for West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino this summer.

Everton are in the market for a new striker this transfer window due to the uncertainty over the future of Romelu Lukaku who has been linked with  a move away to many of Europe’s top clubs this summer.

Koeman is a big admirer of the 22 year old who he feels can provide the goals that will hopefully lead the club to a top six finish come the end of next season.

Everton will be hoping to secure the Englnd Under 21 international for a cut price fee due to the striker having just a year left on his current deal at The Hawthorns.

The Merseyside club could face competition for the strikers signature with Watford, Crystal Palace and Leicester City all interested in taking the striker to their respective clubs this summer.
