‘New Kyle Walker’ – West Ham fans are absolutely buzzing on Twitter

The West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern will all be getting excited ahead of next season now, with the news that Fulham’s Ryan Frederick’s has joined The London Stadium on a free. The 25-year-old full-back will be a big coup for the Hammers, who have will be delighted that their new manager, Manuel Pellegrini has got off to a good start. Ryan Fredericks has been in stellar form this season and capped it all off when he helped the Cottagers to a 1-0 win over Aston Villa at Wembley, despite his part in the game being quite controversial. The dynamic defender should have been sent off in the first half of the Wembley final for a stamp on Villa’s Jack Grealish after a tough challenge had left the England U21 international crumpled on the floor.

Ryan Fredericks will be looking forward to making a positive start to his West Ham career and he’ll be competing with Pablo Zabaleta for the starting spot at right-back. Zabaleta is one of the Premier League’s most talented right-backs, having dominated on the right-hand side of Manchester City’s defence throughout the club’s entire transition from a midtable club to a consistent Champions League team, and having the Argentine to learn off will be massive for Fredericks in his development.
