New Man City boss aiming to beat Chelsea to £24m midfielder

BazoerManchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern have upset their Chelsea counterparts this evening, after their friendly gathering for a pint was interrupted by reports the Citizens want to hijack a major deal from the Blues.

The Daily Mirror states that new Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, who’ll take the reigns from the summer, is aiming to hijack Chelsea’s move for Ajax’s wonder-kid Riechedly Bazoer.

19-year-old Bazoer has been likened to Dutch legend Frank Rijkaard and he’s likely to be on the move this summer, with a number of top sides in Europe looking to snatch the brightest young talent from the Netherlands.

Chelsea themselves are already in advanced talks with Bazoer to the tune of £24m but City want to beat them to the player’s signature, although they face rival competition from Italian giants Napoli and the player himself dreams of a move to Barcelona.

Our landlord feels it’s too early for Bazoer to move to Barcelona but feels the next best thing would for him to continue his development under Guardiola at the Etihad.

City fans, is this a signing you should push ahead with? Let us know in the comments below!
