Newcastle United will be looking forward to the start of the Premier League campaign as they now seem to be making moves on the transfer front.
The Magpies have been rather stagnant throughout the transfer window as they are still yet to push through a deal that will excite supporters. The Venezuelan will complete his switch to St James’ Park in the next few days after being left out of his current club West Bromwich Albion’s Championship clash yesterday.
Newcastle striker Dwight Gayle is poised to set the deal in motion by agreeing to move to the Hawthorns.
And, the Magpies could make it a double transfer coup before next weekend’s Premier League opener by landing Liverpool’s Danny Ings on a loan deal.
So, it looks as if Newcastle United could secure a double swoop at some point in the near future, which would put them in a great position as they head into the new campaign.
Indeed, the Magpies hadn’t made many moves on the transfer front up to this point, but it now looks as if they’re finally taking it seriously and showing ambition. Danny Ings is a very impressive player that has shown he can score goals, so supporters will be delighted with the thought of having both men.
Rafa Benitez will be pleased that Mike Ashley is finally stumping up the cash to bring Salomon Rondon to St James’ Park this summer, as they could of started the new campaign without a striker.
