Newcastle United consider letting striker leave on loan

NewcastleNewcastle United fans playing darts in The Transfer Tavern are discussing reports that the club are set to let one of their young strikers leave on loan.

The Chronicle are reporting that a number of Championship and League One clubs have enquired about taking Ivan Toney on loan.

The youngster joined the Premier League side from Northampton Town in August and has impressed all at St James Park.

Toney has made a couple of substitute appearances for the club, including a Premier League bow against Chelsea in the 2-2 draw earlier in the season.

Fine performances for the club’s Under 21 side saw him awarded Barclays Under 21 player of the month for September, the player has kept true to his word since signing for the club, and kept his head down and impressed during his time on Tyneside.

The Newcastle fans in The Transfer Tavern believe a spell away from the club would serve Toney well and enhance his development.
