Newcastle sit second from bottom of the Premier League table after five games. It is only their superior goal difference that saves them from being at the foot of the table.
This may alarm some fans in Tyneside, but many will know that they have been dealt some tough fixtures in the opening rounds of their campaign. Tottenham, Chelsea, Man City and Arsenal are a tough four games out of their opening five.
Whilst they didn’t manage to collect any points against those teams, and only the solitary point against Cardiff, the fixture list will only improve.
With that in mind, we asked whether you thought Newcastle were in a crisis at the moment. These were the results:
The results show that, while 55% of fans do believe that Newcastle are in a crisis, the fans are still fairly split on the club’s situation.
Perhaps the reason slightly more fans believe that the club has a problem is because of the ongoing off-field saga surround owner Mike Ashley and his budget for the club.
Nonetheless, manager Rafa Benítez can remedy these problems by registering the first win of the season at Crystal Palace today.
