Newcastle fans are really struggling at the moment. They currently sit 15th in the Premier League table and are just two points outside of the relegation zone. Rafa Benitez’s side are in desperate need of goals, and the fans have been calling for Elias Sorensen to be given a chance, especially seeing as he’s just signed a new three-and-a-half year contract.
We’re delighted to announce that teenage striker Elias Sørensen has signed a new three-and-a-half year contract with Newcastle United.

The Danish striker scores goals for fun in the Premier League 2, with 19 strikes making him the top scorer in the tournament. However, in the actual Premier League, the Magpies top scorer is Salomon Rondon who has bagged just five times in England’s top flight this season. Goals are looking like a real issue, and with not much left to lose, the fans are desperate to see Sorensen given his chance.
At the moment, with the Geordies sitting so close to the drop zone, if they could bring anyone into the side who can grab a few goals out of nowhere then they’d be in a really good position to kick on and try and mount a challenge to break into mid-table and get away from this group of six clubs at the bottom who are all tangled in a relegation battle.
You can read the Magpies’ calls for Sorensen here:
Surely give him a start over joselu against Blackburn in the FA cup … he can't score less goals

Would make far more sense to give this lad a run out v Blackburn opposed to Joselu and Murphy
— BrianRidleyGolf (@BrianRidleyGolf) January 7, 2019
Great news. He is surely worth a go up front, can’t do any worse than Joselu?
— Alastair Campbell (@alastair10) January 7, 2019
Put him in the 1st team
— Liam (@LiamNUFC1998) January 7, 2019
Announce number 9 shirt
— Jameson (@jameson63_) January 7, 2019
Now play him in the first team
— Jack Bryan (@JackBryan08) January 7, 2019
Play him instead of Joselu
Absolute no reason to still be playing that donkey
— Dell (@agbnufc) 7 January 2019
Give the lad a chance, he can’t be worse than Joselu was on Saturday

The Magpies would do anything to see Sorensen starting in the senior side, and would love to see Benitez chance the youngster against Blackburn.
