Newcastle fans happy to miss out on Anthony Limbombe

This summer has been one that the Newcastle fans will be keen to forget about as soon as possible. The club looks set to bring in Salomon Rondon and a left-back but other than that it remains to be seen whether anyone else will be brought in. However, according to Het Nieuwsblad, via rtbf.be sportNewcastle and Huddersfield are interested in 24-year-old Anthony Limbombe.

Limbombe is one of three players who have been asked by the Club Brugge manager not to attend training as the Belgian club are only interested in the players that they know will be with them this season. The 24-year-old winger has been at the club for two years since he signed from Dutch second division side NEC Nijmegen. Now though, he could be set to make another switch with St James Park a rumoured destination.

The Newcastle fans aren’t convinced by this one. The club have resigned Kenedy on-loan for the season from Chelsea and still have Matt Ritchie and Christian Atsu as their wide options and most of the supporters are asking the valid question: if he good enough for Newcastle? Most of the Magpies hadn’t even heard of the Belgian winger before this summer and if he does come to Tyneside he’ll have a point to prove to the fans that are currently doubting him.

The fans are far from convinced by Limbombe and will be hoping this rumour dies out quickly.
