Last night, Newcastle United’s U23s smashed Aston Villa’s U23s 5-2, with Elias Sorensen the man of the hour getting himself a treble on the night. It was the young striker’s second hat trick in four games and the Magpies are desperate for him to be put in the first team.
UNDER-23S: Elias Sørensen's second hat-trick in four games – along with goals from Callum Roberts and Sean Longstaff – helped the young Magpies record their fourth successive win.

Fans can read the full match report from The Geordies U23s win on the Newcastle website, and a lot of fans are keen to see some of their young Magpies chanced by Rafa Benitez in the first-team. Sorensen, in particular, is a lad who the fans believe could cut it already, especially seeing as the club are currently limping by with Joselu, Ayoze Perez and Salomon Rondon who, between them, can’t see to buy a goal.
Meanwhile, young Sorensen at the age of just 19 is a goal machine. He’s scoring at a rate of over a goal per game for the Newcastle United U23s and making it look easy. His scintillating form makes for much better viewing than the on-going rubbish that Rafa Benitez continues to stick by in the first-team and most fans don’t see what harm it would cause if they opted to throw in Sorensen for a few games. Their next game away at Southampton has the potential to be a huge one, and if Sorensen plays he could be the man to turn the tide for the Toon.

Surely he's worth a chance in the 1st team squad considering no one else can score

The Geordies are desperate for goals in their senior side and would love to have Sorensen given a crack against Southampton.
