Newcastle fans on Twitter are desperate for a signing

The Newcastle fans who pack into St James Park every week during the season deserve much better than Mike Ashley. The club never open the chequebook unless they absolutely have to and the fans are worried that the lack of ambition could cost them as Rafa Benitez could be set to leave.
#nufc have not bid for Andre Ayew or Matt Phillips.

The most frustrating thing for the fans is that they are linked a to a large number of players. On the striker front the Magpies have been linked with Alassane Plea, Danny Ings and Salomon Rondon whilst Andros Townsend, Matt Phillips and Andre Ayew are a few of the wide men that have also been mentioned. It’ll be a long few weeks for the fans as the end of the window nears and hopefully, they can be treated to some action before long.
So far the club have made just three signings, although Kenedy has only joined on-loan and Ki Sung-Yeung was a free transfer. The club is sitting on a net profit of £6 million and despite the fact that Ashley promised Benitez around £40 million plus whatever they make in sales, the fans are rightfully frustrated that they haven’t opened the chequebook and signed a player.

I’m sick of this all now @lee_ryder every year it’s the same and now one says anything. BOYCOTT

Until Rafa signs we ain’t getting no one. Why would Rafa sign anyways. Who else would want to work under Ashley?!

Even if we did it would be a few million under what there clubs want for them then they would end up somewhere else and the same old line would come out we could not get them over the line

The fans are right to be frustrated and it seems like a matter of time until they lose Benitez if they keep going at this rate.
